It seems the potential for the Men’s Shed to take on commissions is spreading. A call to help a very sad Coo with broken horns and a weathered look came via messenger one day a while ago. The lady asked if we could fix her broken horns. On arrival Gordon said “it was clear this wonderfully carved Coo needed full restoration” and here she is before and now. Pleased to help and the donation is appreciated.

Well, we didn’t win SMSA Scottish Men’s shed of the Year – we came fourth. However, considering we have only been open a few months, and also that we were up against sheds serving much larger towns, and therefore with more potential voters, I think we can be proud of having come fourth out of over 130 active Scottish sheds. The Aboyne & District Men’s Shed Trustees are delighted to announce that the new Aboyne and Mid Deeside Community Shed is complete and the Council have approved the Completion Certificate. Following a meeting with our Main Contractor AJC, we can confirm that the Aboyne and District Men’s Shed is now owner of the building enabling us to complete occupancy arrangements. While awaiting final completion acceptance we had operated under a temporary occupation certificate from the
