Well, we didn’t win SMSA Scottish Men’s shed of the Year – we came fourth. However, considering we have only been open a few months, and also that we were up against sheds serving much larger towns, and therefore with more potential voters, I think we can be proud of having come fourth out of over 130 active Scottish sheds. It also shows how supportive our local community are of what we have achieved and what we are doing. So many thanks to all those who voted for us and continue to support our efforts.
Men’s Shed sessions are now open as follows:-
Tuesdays 1300-1700
Thursdays 1300-1700
Saturdays 0900-13-00
Many other groups are also now using various rooms in the new Community Shed building. Some of these have provided information on what they are doing on our sister website www.aboynecs.org on the User Groups page.
Men’s Shed members have several small projects on the go, but focus is still on the installation and power-up of several wood and metal working machines in the workshop. We are also close to completing the installation of lighting for the track from the cemetery car park to the Community Shed.
